Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh – February 12, 2026 – Home Hero Parv Chaudhary Shatters National Records as 94kg Titles Decided in Modinagar

 

The IWLF National Youth, Junior, and Senior Weightlifting Championships 2025-26 continued its thrilling run at the Yadav Farm House in Modinagar, Uttar Pradesh. On Day 9 of the competition, the spotlight fell on the Men’s 94kg category, where local sensation Parv Chaudhary delivered a historic performance that brought the home crowd to its feet.

 

Junior & Senior Highlights: Chaudhary’s Record-Breaking Spree

In a display of sheer power and precision, Uttar Pradesh’s Parv Chaudhary dominated the Junior 94kg division. Representing the host state, Chaudhary etched his name into the history books by creating three new National Records in the Snatch, Clean & Jerk, and Total categories in the Junior section.

 

Parv Chaudhary successfully lifted 149 kg in the Snatch and followed it with a massive 184 kg in the Clean & Jerk, culminating in a record-breaking total of 333 kg. His performance was so dominant that he not only secured the Junior Gold Medal but also claimed the Silver Medal in the Senior division.

 

In the Senior 94kg category, Abhishek Nipane of Maharashtra secured the Gold with a total lift of 334 kg, narrowly edging out Chaudhary by a single kilogram thanks to a powerful 191 kg Clean & Jerk. Harshit Sehrawat of RSPB rounded out the Senior podium with a Bronze-medal total of 330 kg.

 

Youth Section: Rehan Khan Claims Top Spot

The Youth 94kg division saw a fierce battle for supremacy, with Rehan Khan of Chhattisgarh emerging victorious. Khan delivered a composed performance, lifting 125 kg in Snatch and 161 kg in Clean & Jerk for a winning total of 286 kg.

Rohit Vaishnav (Rajasthan) and Tanishq Sharma (Rajasthan) secured the second and third positions with totals of 274 kg and 273 kg, respectively.
