Wednesday, the 01st March 2023, Noida–:- Mr. Maxim Agapitov, President, Russian Weightlifting Federation has visited the office of Indian Weightlifting Federation at Noida, Uttar Pradesh and met with Mr. Sahdev Yadav, President, Indian Weightlifting Federation where he was warmly received and welcomed with presentation of bouquet, shawl & gifts from the President, Indian Weightlifting Federation.
Detailed discussions were held about the development of Weightlifting sports amongst both the countries.
The purpose of the visit of Mr. Maxim Agapitov is to implement a joint sports development program and project to enhance the weightlifting culture in both the countries.
The program not only focuses on the sports activities but also enhances the fostering of a healthy physical, spiritual and moral lifestyle among the young weightlifting athletes in both the countries.
With the implementation of Joint Anti-Doping awareness program, conduct of joint weightlifting camp among the National team of both the countries across various age groups. The training and exchange of experience with the participation of specialists from both the countries.
Mr. Maxim Agapitov will also be visiting Weightlifting National coaching camp, at Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports, Patiala on 02nd March 2023 for understanding the concept of training and Infrastructure in India and to meet Indian Stalwart Weightlifters and the National Coach.
