Sunday, 12th June 2022, NOIDA:- Indian weightlifters achieved another feat on day one of the 2022 IWF Youth Men & Women World Weightlifting Championships at Leon, Mexico on 11th June 2022, winning 2 Silver medals on the opening day of Youth World Weightlifting Championships.

Akansha Kishor Vyavhare won silver medal in 40 kg weight category and Vijay Prajapati also won Silver in 49 kg weight category during 2022 IWF Youth World Weightlifting Championships.

Detailed results are as under:-

1. Akansha Kishor Vyavhare 59 kg + 68 kg = 127 kg

2. Vijay Prajapati 78 kg + 97 kg = 175 kg

Akansha Kishor Vyavhare is a trainee of SAI NCOE Aurangabad and Vijay Prajapati is a trainee of SAI NCOE Patiala

I would like to congratulate all the weightlifters for putting a good show during 2022 IWF Youth World Weightlifting Championships at Leon and laud the efforts of Indian coaches who have trained the athletes in short span of time in the National camps.
