Friday, the 24th March 2023, Camp – Bengaluru (Karnataka):- Fourth edition of Khelo India Youth, Junior and Senior National Ranking Women’s Weightlifting Tournament has started at Basketball Court, Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka today.
The first weight category contested in the morning has been 40 kg Youth Girls with 4 girls participating in the event.
Opening ceremony of the competition was held at 1200 noon with following dignitaries:-
- Shri K. Govindraj, MLC, President, Karnataka Olympic Association, President, Asian Basketball Federation and President, Indian Basketball Federation
- Shri Anantha Raju, T., Secretary General, Karnataka Olympic Association,
- Shri S.H. Anande Gowda, Secretary General, Indian Weightlifting Federation
- Shri Kumbasi Subramanya, Chairman – Technical Committee, Indian Weightlifting Federation
There are 230 athletes competing from 28 affiliated units of Indian Weightlifting Federation participating in the event.
The medal winners of today’s concluded weight categories in each category (Youth, Junior & Senior Women) are as under:-
