Monday, 18th July 2022, Tashkent:- Akanksha Vyavhare (40 kg) and Harshada Garud (49 kg) won gold medals during 2022 AWF Asian Youth (Boys & Girls) and Junior (Men & Women) Weightlifting Championships at Tashkent (Uzbekistan) on 18th July 2022.

Akanksha Vyavhare also created a new national record in 40 kg Youth section in Clean & Jerk with a lift of 70 kg bettering her own record by 1 kg.
I would like to congratulate all the weightlifters for putting a good show during 2022 AWF Asian Youth (Boys & Girls) and Junior (Men & Women) Weightlifting Championships at Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and appreciate the efforts of Indian coaches who trained the athletes in the NCOE camp at Sports Authority of India, NS NIS, Patiala.
