The Singapore Weightlifting International-2022 [Qualification Event for 2022 Commonwealth Games Birmingham] has started at Singapore today. Sanket Sargar of India performed with his best total of 256 kg in 55 kg men section and created 2 new commonwealth and national records in clean & jerk and total and secure Gold medal in the event whereas Padamshree Saikhom Mirabai Chanu achieved a total of 191 kg in 55 kg women section and also created a new national record in snatch with a lift of 86 kg.
